Do you ever wake up in the morning, look in the mirror and wonder, “Where have my lovely curls gone?!” You’re not alone. One of the most common questions we get asked is “How can I make my curls last longer? How do I manage my next-day hair?”

Whether you have wavy hair, curly hair, or coily/afro hair, the good news is we've a simple solution for you - refreshing your natural curls!

The Refresh Method

Curly hair can be easily refreshed. One of the most important things to do is dampen your hair. It doesn’t have to be soaking wet, just a light spritz will make a big difference. Our much-loved Misting Bottle is the curly tool you need in your life - perfect for every wavy hair routine as well as curly and coily hair.

To bring your gorgeous curls back to life, follow this quick and easy method:

1. Fill your empty Misting Bottle with water and spritz all over the hair. You can do this in sections if you find this easier. Use your fingers to gently detangle the hair where needed.

2. Dispense some Enhancing Curl Gel in your hands, and rub together. Apply to the hair, and scrunch and twist your curls back into shape. Try following our finger coiling method for extra definition -  this works beautifully on natural curly hair and tighter coils too.

3. Scrunch dry with the Curly Towel, then diffuse or air dry. Simple!

If your hair is feeling a bit dry, especially more so in the winter time, you can use a little of our Hydrating Curl Creme before the gel. This will add moisture to coily hair and afro hair that often craves extra hydration. Just be careful not to add too much, as it is very moisturising.

Protect Your Curls While You Sleep

Can you do anything to protect your curls overnight so you only need a quick refresh in the morning?

The best thing for your curls is to use satin or silk to protect against damage and prevent frizz. Curls and waves love silky soft materials, as the hair gently glides over them. This limits any friction on the hair as we sleep.

We always recommend using a silk pillowcase or satin turban at night. Adding this simple step to your wavy hair routine or coily hair routine will make a huge difference to your hair.

Take a look at our range and see what would work well for you:

Looking after curly hair doesn’t have to be complicated! With a little water, lightweight wavy hair products, and hydrating stylers for natural curly hair and afro hair, you can refresh your curls quickly and easily.

Follow our simple steps to make the most of your curls - whether wavy, curly, or coily - and enjoy gorgeous definition between wash days.
