Did you know that using a gel is the best way to create defined, long-lasting curls? How should you apply it? For the best results, gently smooth and scrunch the gel into your hair to tame frizz and add definition.

After shampooing and conditioning, apply our Hydrating Creme on soaking wet hair to lock in moisture and the curls will start to form. This is key for definition. Use our Microfibre Towel to gently scrunch the hair to remove excess water. Now it’s time for the gel!

Whether you prefer the lighter Enhancing Gel or you’re a Mega Hold Gel fan, the method is the same.

  • Take 2-3 pumps of the gel and rub between your hands to ensure even distribution.
  • Gently glaze the gel over your hair. Try to avoid breaking up the curl clumps that have already been created.
  • Then scrunch for maximum definition!

After applying your gel, you can either leave to air-dry or diffuse. Diffusing will help even more with definition and we have some fabulous diffusing tips here.

Does your hair feel slightly crispy once dry after applying gel? This is the gel cast which protects your hair against frizz while drying. Once your is completely dry, all you have to do is “scrunch-out-the-crunch” for soft, defined curls that last.

Try adding a gel into your routine to see the difference it makes to your curls. We're sure you'll love the results!
